Toilet training (learning)
Toilet training—better described as toilet learning—is a gradual process of building awareness, coordination, and independence.

Some children need more time and support to develop these skills. Challenges may include resistance to sitting on the toilet, frequent accidents, difficulty recognizing body signals, or trouble completing the full toileting routine.

At Cooper Core Kids, we focus on the skills behind successful toilet learning rather than rushing the process.

Pediatric physical therapy can help your child:
-
Recognize early body cues for bladder and bowel needs
-
Improve coordination for sitting, relaxing, and going
-
Tolerate and participate in toileting routines
-
Build consistency through structured, child-friendly strategies
We meet your child where they are and help them progress step-by-step toward independence.
